About

Bright beginnings

During a trip to Delhi’s bustling wholesale market, with its array of gorgeous ribbons, trims and amazing fabrics, fashion designer and lecturer Caro, was inspired to set up her own company and the Caro London range launched in 2002.

Originally based in London, Caro has now returned to her ancestral roots in rural Norfolk with her husband, artist Will, their daughter and Tolly (their tabby cat). The move to slower living, big skies and the natural beauty of the landscape has enthused her to fuse these elements within her work.

Unique prints

Caro has been evolving affordable timeless collections of loungewear and accessories using natural fibres (never synthetic or man-made). Designing easy, flattering and practical shapes in pure, soft cottons to wear for sleeping and lounging because dressing up for winding down is the new ‘going out’.

From the beginning, Caro has focussed on developing enchanting and unique prints & patterns. Using vibrant, uplifting colours or soft, calming palettes. A love of haberdashery, finishing, binding, stitching and an eye for beautiful detail have created our unique look.

Easy to pack, travel-friendly loungewear and accessories can take you from bath to bed to beach and back again!

Our customer promise

  • We will always bend over backwards to help our customers
  • We genuinely like to help; if you can’t find what you’re looking for then do please ask – just give us a call.
  • Suggestions are always welcome; we can only build the Caro collection together, tell us if there’s something you’d love to see in our range and we’ll see what we can do
  • We can handle constructive criticism, if it helps us to create a better range ( no hecklers please)

Supporting the local community

At Caro London we aim to create quality products without compromising our workers’ conditions.
We only work with small scale production units in the Indian subcontinent, and over the years, as Caro London has grown, we’ve been able to provide more employment opportunities for local people in the area.

In one of the units, we started with a couple of stitchers. Now there are 20 men cutting, sewing, pressing and packing. On one floor the owner also runs a breakfast and after school club for disadvantaged children that he funds through charitable donations.

Caro London also supports the Karuna charity whose patron is Dame Judi Dench. Karuna works in India among some of the poorest communities in the world. For more information or to make a donation, please visit www.karuna.org and read our charity page.
