Bright beginnings
An exceptional trip to Delhi’s bustling wholesale market with its array of gorgeous ribbons, trims and amazing fabrics prompted me to return to a life long passion for making and all things fabric.
Originally based in London, I returned to my ancestral roots in very rural Norfolk with my family nearly 10 years ago. The move to slower living, big skies and surrounding natural beauty has been a source of sustained inspiration.
Dressing up for winding down is the new ‘going out’.
Starting with 3 hand made cosmetic bags, a shower cap and a kimono, I have slowly built on the range over the years concentrating on relaxed and flattering shapes. Dressing gowns, kimonos, pyjamas and nighties in various lengths and made with plenty of pockets. The accessory range has grown too to include washbags, eyemasks, bedsocks and many more shower caps.
Using printed and patterned cottons in vibrant, uplifting colours or soft, calming palettes. Indulging my passion for haberdashery and fabric treatments such as pleating, binding and stitching has all been distilled into the Caro look. Hopefully you will find something in a fabulous print or zingy colour that will brighten your day...Easy to pack, travel-friendly nightwear, loungewear and accessories that can take you from bath to bed to beach and back again.
Supporting the local community
Creating quality products without compromising workers’ conditions has been key since the beginning and I only work with small-scale production units in India. Products manufactured in the UK are made with small businesses making specialist items.
